REBUILDING LIVES THROUGH SPORTS
All proceeds of this tournament will benefit veterans through:
Move United Warfighters
Move United Warfighters, offers sports rehabilitation for wounded warriors with permanent physical disabilities in military hospitals and communities across the U.S. in partnership with a nationwide network of over 225 community-based chapters. Since 1956, Move United has proudly served wounded warriors, including those injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, offering over 70 winter and summer sports at more than 100 events each year. Move United Warfighters rebuilds lives through sports by improving self-confidence, promoting independence and uniting families through shared healthy activities. Contributions cover all expenses for participation of the warrior and a family member, including individualized adaptive instruction, adaptive sports equipment, transportation, lodging and meals. Since 2003, more than 18,000 of the most severely wounded and their families have been served, including those with amputations, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, visual impairments, and significant nerve and muscle damage. Tee It Up for the Troops
Tee It Up for the Troops engages communities to raise awareness and provide support to America’s military veterans by organizing golf events, outreach programs, and fundraisers. As a national non-profit organization, the vision of Tee It Up for the Troops is to help military veterans and their families to heal, transition, grow, and thrive. When a military member returns to their community, they face a variety of challenges so addressing one area many times is not enough. That is why Tee It Up for the Troops supports six core pillars including: Housing and Homelessness, Family and Caregiver Support, PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment, Suicide Prevention, Employment, and Sports Rehabilitation. Now in its 20th year, Tee It Up for the Troops has donated over $16 million to positively impact more than 320,000 American heroes. This support helps them get back on course and successfully transition from the battlefront to the home front. In addition, through our REUNION outreach initiative, Tee It Up for the Troops has reunited more than 500 combat veterans who were separated due to battlefield injuries. Through these reunions, participants enhance their transition process into productive and fulfilling civilian lifestyles. Learn more at www.teeitupforthetroops.org. |
