REBUILDING LIVES THROUGH SPORTS
All proceeds of this tournament will benefit veterans through:
Move United Warfighter
Move United Warfighters, offers sports rehabilitation for wounded warriors with permanent physical disabilities in military hospitals and communities across the U.S. in partnership with a nationwide network of over 200 community-based chapters.
Since 1956, Move United has proudly served wounded warriors, including those injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, offering over 70 winter and summer sports at more than 100 events each year. Move United Warfighters rebuilds lives through sports by improving self-confidence, promoting independence and uniting families through shared healthy activities. Contributions cover all expenses for participation of the warrior and a family member, including individualized adaptive instruction, adaptive sports equipment, transportation, lodging and meals.
Since 2003, more than 18,000 of the most severely wounded and their families have been served, including those with amputations, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, visual impairments, and significant nerve and muscle damage. For more information, visit www.moveunitedsport.org.
Tee It Up for the Troops
Tee It Up for the Troops considers it a privilege to honor, remember, respect, and support all those who serve(d) in the Armed Forces for this great nation! A national non-profit organization, Tee It Up for the Troops inspires communities across the country to organize golf events and raise funds that deliver critically needed services to military families.
When a military member comes home, they face a variety of challenges. Addressing one area many times is not enough. That is why Tee It Up for the Troops supports six core areas including Housing and Homelessness, Family and Caregiver Support, PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment, Suicide Prevention, Employment, and Golf and Sports Rehabilitation. This support for our American heroes helps them get back on course and successfully transition from the battlefront to the home front.
Also, through our REUNION initiative, Tee It Up for the Troops has reunited more than 500 combat veterans. Through these reunions, participants enhance their transition process into productive and fulfilling civilian lifestyles.
Established in 2005, Tee It Up for the Troops has hosted over 650 events and has donated over $14 million to positively impact more than 277,000 American heroes.
